5 hari di oncology dept. (owh, and esok-saturday, ada class at 1pm. bestnye! huhu)


hari ni ade pengalaman baru. iaitu menonton surgery yg dipanggil whipple procedure.
whipple procedure merupakan sejenis operation, yg biasa dilakukan sebagai treatment kepada pesakit2 pancreatic cancer (ketumbuhan/kanser kelenjar pankreas). maklumlah, sekarang cycle oncology (the study of cancer)..belajar pasal cancers everyday. so, basically, operation ni, nama lainnye ialah pancreaticoduodenectomy..dalam erti kata lain, the pancreas yg ada cancer tu dan duodenum dipotong. emm..ah, malas la nak cerite. haha..sape yg nk tau, bole google sendiri or click sini..

lebih kurang cam dalam gamba ni la..

kalau diikutkan, prinsip2 utk operation ni lebih kurang mcm dalam ganba2 kat atas ni. tapi, agak berlainan dgn yg kitorang tgk hari ni..sebagai contoh, pancreas yg telah dipotong tu, the parts (the body and the tail of the pancreas) which remain in the abdominal cavity, are joined to the jejunum (a part of our small intestine). however, in the one performed by yurii nikolaevich (okay, i think that's not the name..oh,well..nama susah sgt..but whatever ur name is professor Mr. Surgeon, u r brilliant! hee) today, they were attached to the posterior part of the stomach. our lecturer said, it does not matter, it all depends on the surgeon's preference.

okay..lari tajuk sikit..snanye bukan nak cerite about the surgery pun..just nak letak gamba yg diambil bfore masuk operation theatre je..hehe.. :)

pengalaman yg menarik. group kitorang utk cycle ni ada 13 org, so kene take turn nak obseve in OT. kali ni our turn. hopefully dapat tgk lagi. budak2 yg study medic tempat lain mesti tak berapa nak jakun kot, sebab senang, and maybe selalu dapat tgk. haha. bukan la nak kata kami ni jakun. oh, semestinya tidak. kalau x payah observe pun kami happy. haahaa~ tapi, alhamdulillah, hari ni dapat tgk selama 2 jam almost.
x tgk sampai habis pun. sbb nak balik. kaki lenguh kot..kagum dgn all 3 surgeons yg sudah agak tua~x sakit ke lutut dorangg?? huhu

okay, disebabkan x larat nak diri lama2, i dont think i am gonna be a surgeon in the future. other than that, sebab mmg dah ada minat ke lain (kot). haha. lenguh shopping tak pe pulak kan? ;p tapi serious..lenguh gila..sebab the night before macam agak kurang tidur, lpas tu hospital onco tu jauh, lpas tu bediri x buat ape 2 jam, balik2..fuhhh..mmg x larat la..lpas solat magrib terus baring. flat.....lawak gila..kalau jadi doctor nnt macamane la agaknye..adoii~hehe
